N2  -  Summary. They spoke truth to power and were murdered in cold blood. Since 2012 the Special Rapporteur submit an annual progress report, whith observations on communications to describe the situation in different fields of human rights defense. The report is dedicated to the heroes that put their life on the line to defend the right of their communities to live in a safe environment and to have a future in the dignity and respect of their values and traditions. They are exposed to any kind of attacks and violence, including murders, often in the silence and lack of interest of the international communities.
