N2 - Summary. In the eyes of the beholder. The area of end-of-life is certainly a very present issue in nursing, and perhaps even more in life and in the imagination of society. This is, moreover, an area that in social and health planning is always on the border between the public and the private, the organization and the contents of the clinic-assistance, the cultural and solidarity emotions and the affirmation of rights and normatives and laus. Overall, beyond the many things that are said and done, this is primarily an area of non-knowing. Uncertain among the social, political and economic evidences that question the sustainability agend of life come, and medical-welfare evidences are largely dominated by empirical knowledge, which demand a strong multidisciplinarity but which collide with the lack of difficulty or finding robust end points: the core ones that would allow entry into the LEA.
