N2  -  Summary. The invisible venom: the story of the contamination from perfluoroalchilic substances (PFAS) in the Veneto Region. Very often environmental pollution is not acknowledged by official authorities neither local communities are made aware of the possible risks. In this article the story-chronicle of a group of mothers of Veneto Region, after the communication of the results of blood exams documenting the risks related to the pollution from perfluoroalchilic substances (PFAS) is presented. The group of Mums aware that threshold of what is tolerable was crossed, started a protest movement progressively involving local stakeholders, religious groups (up to the Pope), international experts, regional authorities, the Parlament and the European Community to ask for justice, for the safeguard of the environment and of their children health.
